Realizing other homeschooling parents needed to learn this information, I wrote and published my first book in 2009 about how to homeschool with the brain in mind.
I transitioned into a homeschool coach, then I wanted to engage with women about how to embrace their natural DNA code and get a handle on negative self-talk. Many women suppress their natural gifts, which sets off a negative response to our immune system and leads to feeling less than our best.
Becoming a professional speaker and presenter came naturally, as I’ve been on stages since a young age. I love making the science and psychology relatable for everyone I speak to – executives, leaders, entrepreneurs, parents, teens, men, and women.
Fun fact: Did you know there are three types of ‘verts’ in the population?
– 30% are introverts; self-sustaining, fine by themselves
– 30% are extroverts; need a lot of stimuli just to keep brain awake
– 40% are ambiverts – part introvert, part extrovert. They can be quiet and perfectly happy today, tomorrow they need to get out and get the stimulus.
My greatest satisfaction comes when people have their “A-ha” moments; when parents can understand their kids, when corporate leaders see how neuroscience and neuropsychology enable people to become better leaders and communicators, and when individuals understand themselves a little better.
